1. Who are we?
“IZIT”, “we”, “us”, “our” develops and provides cloud-based software for material and inventory management under the commercial brand name MIRA Software.

2. When does this privacy statement apply?
This privacy statement applies to the processing of personal data by IZIT bv in the following situations:
Visitors to our website
(Potential) customers and their contact persons
Suppliers and their contact persons
Users of the MIRA platform
When we process personal data on behalf of our customers within the MIRA platform, we act as a data processor. In that case, the customer is the data controller.

Registrations within the platform (e.g., material usage)
In principle, we do not process special categories of personal data, unless these are entered by customers themselves.


4. For what purposes do we process personal data?
We process personal data for:
Providing and managing our software services
Authentication and access control
Customer management and invoicing
Technical support
Security and system monitoring
Compliance with legal obligations


5. On what legal basis do we process personal data?
We process personal data based on:
The performance of a contract
Legal obligations
Legitimate interest (for example, security and fraud prevention)
Consent (where legally required, such as for non-essential cookies)
When we act as a data processor, the processing is carried out based on the instructions of our customer.


6. How long do we retain personal data?
We do not retain personal data longer than necessary for the purposes for which they are processed:
Platform data: as long as the customer subscription is active
After termination of subscription: deletion within 90 days (unless legal obligations apply)
Log data: maximum 90 days
Support tickets: maximum 24 months
Billing data: in accordance with legal obligations under Belgian law
Backups: rolling retention of maximum 90 days


7. Do we share personal data with third parties?
We only share personal data where necessary for our services or to comply with legal obligations.
We use carefully selected service providers, including hosting via Microsoft Azure (EU data centers).
Data processing agreements have been concluded with these parties to ensure an appropriate level of protection.


8. Transfers outside the European Union
Personal data is, in principle, stored within the European Union.
If personal data is processed outside the EU, we ensure appropriate safeguards in accordance with the GDPR, such as the use of Standard Contractual Clauses.


9. How do we secure personal data?
We take appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse, or unauthorized access, including:
Encryption of data in transit (TLS)
Encryption of data at rest
Role-based access control
Restricted access to production environments
Logging and system monitoring
Regular software updates and security patches
