Construction company Juri NV manages a large and rapidly growing volume of equipment and tools that are subject to mandatory, periodic inspections. Safety harnesses, lifting slings and other site equipment: everything must be properly inspected and documented. Whilst this used to be manageable due to limited quantities, over the years the number of items requiring inspection has grown to more than a thousand per quarter, spread across depots and construction sites.
From paper to digital inspection reports via MIRA
With Vinçotte, the equipment is periodically inspected and checked on site. The inspection documents are available, but the challenge lay in accessing them when they were needed.
The integration between Vinçotte and MIRA has completely changed that. By simply scanning the code on an asset, site managers gain immediate access to the current status and all associated inspection reports.
As inspector Muharrem Kurutepe (Vinçotte) puts it: “We inspect around 1,500 items per quarter at Juri nv’s depots and sites. The documents were always provided, but you want to have them to hand anytime, anywhere. Thanks to the link with MIRA, that’s now possible. You scan the code and immediately see the status: approved, rejected or with comments.”
This has also represented a major step forward within Juri NV. Whereas physical folders containing inspection reports used to have to be kept up to date, site managers now work entirely digitally via the MIRA app, directly on their smartphones.
Less paperwork, greater certainty on site
The increase in the volume of materials made it clear that traditional methods were no longer sufficient.
Thanks to digitalisation via MIRA, teams now always have access to up-to-date inspection information, without wasting time on research or administration. This not only increases efficiency, but also safety on site. In this way, MIRA bridges the gap between materials management and external inspections, ensuring that crucial information is always available when it’s needed.
