MIRA: an indispensable partner in the Lotto Cycling Team’s warehouse.
July 2025
Behind every professional cycling team lies an impressive amount of equipment. Bikes, frames, wheelsets, helmets, clothing, spare parts and technical equipment are constantly on the move. This equipment changes hands between riders, is taken to training camps and races, and must always be available in top condition.
A complete overview of specialist cycling equipment
For the Lotto cycling team, it is crucial to know exactly where each piece of kit is and what its status is. With MIRA, all that cycling kit is managed centrally in a single system. Every item — from bikes to accessories — is registered and easy to locate. Mechanics and staff can see at a glance which equipment is available, what is in use and what is due for maintenance or replacement. This ensures peace of mind during preparations and allows the team to focus on what really matters: delivering top-level performances.
Step-by-step implementation
The implementation of MIRA at the Lotto Cycling Team began, quite literally, in the warehouse. All equipment was physically labelled with a unique number, making it easy to scan in and out. At the same time, cross-departmental operations were centralised: mechanics and nutrition now work with a single shared overview containing up-to-date information on stock levels and availability.
From there, MIRA grew step by step alongside the team and became further integrated into the team’s operations. Training sessions are organised regularly, based on the users’ own questions. These sessions not only provide guidance on day-to-day use, but also serve as a source of inspiration for further expanding MIRA within the organisation.
